JB’s Journey has two branches. Longer reflections on my experience as an activist participant-observer, including creating the Protect Our Activists project and its various endeavors–making the website, building a team, reaching out, dealing with emotional and other challenges.
The other branch follows our participant-observer journey out on the virtual high seas. Check out our log posts–mine and, with time, others from my team– on everyday experiences swimming and struggling in the turbulent grass roots.
RAINWOOD HOUSE SINGS, a social justice mystery for youth and adults, paints a truthful (with a hint of magic) picture of activists taking on gentrification, police violence, worker rights and cultural divisions; tackling mysteries large and small with creativity, humor and collective action.
